The ART 01 MONOCHROME BLACK is an ode to black—the color that is not a color. Black represents the absence of visible light, yet for ALTO, it is a luminous void. The ART 01 MONOCHROME BLACK is entirely black. The titanium case is coated with DLC («Diamond Like Carbon»), lending the piece a remarkable satin-finish intensity. The brass dial is also black, as is the metallization of the sapphire crystal. Only the Super-LumiNova applied to the black hands disrupts this unity.
Black becomes light, light becomes material. It is not an absence but a presence—a living substance where light reflects and dissolves. Black does not erase; it reveals. Time is no longer linear; it becomes tangible.
