A new expression
Following the design language established with ART 01, ART 02 continues the Maison’s pursuit of balance, giving rise to a watch with more restrained, more universal and more essential proportions. A new case, a new bracelet, a new movement: ART 02 is the culmination of two years of development and marks a new stage in the evolution of ALTO’s horological language.
The ART 02 Language
The dial is framed by an inner flange integrated directly into the case. It features the indexes and a discreet minute track, offering a more intuitive reading of time. The hands, refined in proportion and skeletonised, contribute to the Maison’s constant pursuit of balance between precision, visual lightness and legibility. They retain the counter-clockwise rotation of the seconds hand. In a pursuit of absolute coherence, the case, bracelet and movement plate are all crafted from Grade 5 titanium. A signature material of the Maison, it combines lightness, strength and comfort on the wrist.
The A02 calibre
The A02 Manufacture calibre was developed exclusively for ART 02. It beats at a frequency of 5 Hz, or 36,000 vibrations per hour. With a 50-hour power reserve, its construction is based on a Grade 5 titanium main plate, paired with satin-finished bridges with polished angles. The rhodium-plated Reconit 18 oscillating weight features bead-blasted, circular-brushed and engraved finishes. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, its distinctive architecture is a signature of the Maison.
The integrated bracelet
ALTO unveils the first metal bracelet. It is fitted with a double-folding clasp incorporating a 4 mm micro-adjustment system, with 2 mm of adjustment on either side of the clasp. It also features an integrated push-button interchangeability system. Requiring no tools, the bracelet can be replaced in seconds with a leather or rubber strap, offering different expressions of ART 02.
Light & Reflection
Developed entirely in Grade 5 titanium and specifically for ART 02, the bracelet offers a new expression of the Maison’s horological language and plays a defining role in its identity. Like the case, each link is composed of multiple satin-finished surfaces, brushed in different directions and carefully considered for the way they interact with light. The resulting reflections give the bracelet an unprecedented sense of brilliance, without a single polished surface. This construction gives the bracelet a distinctive visual identity.
ALTO AND GRADE 5 TITANIUM
A material central to the Maison since its beginnings, Grade 5 titanium is a biocompatible alloy offering exceptional resistance to corrosion. More demanding to machine, and more resistant to scratches and impact than Grade 2 titanium, its composition gives it exceptional strength while maintaining remarkable lightness.
